Hi there, my name is Wayne Splaine. Please allow me to share my story with you. Although I grew up in a good, loving home, as a teenager I somehow made the decision to experiment with drugs. After high school I continued in my sorry lifestyle for some time, until the God of Mercy led me from disaster. At 24 years of age, I did not yet have a regular job. I supported myself with the proceeds from my crimes. One day while sitting alone, tired of my lifestyle I asked (prayed) aloud, “God if you are real, please get me out of this lifestyle.” A short time later I began to hear “read your Bible.” Unfortunately my reaction was, “what would my ‘friends’ think?” So I ignored that tug and life got worse. I became a cocaine/crack addict as well as a booze hound, and I would smoke hash like others would smoke cigarettes. I would stay awake for 3 or 4 days at a time, bingeing. I would inject cocaine and smoke crack for hours and hours. I wasted over $100,000 in about 3 or 4 months, and who knows how much over the years of abuse. Sometimes I would disappear for days. Then one day, after returning from a 2 or 3 day binge, the lovely lady that has now been my wife for 18 years said to me, “why don’t you read your Bible.” This struck me as a second chance, maybe my last chance. In the Bible, I found a God of Mercy, Grace, and Forgiveness in Jesus Christ. He delivered me from all my vices, drugs and alcohol dependence, without a single day in rehab or attending a single AA meeting! He has provided me a good wife and a beautiful daughter, now almost 20. He provided me

“new life” and has provided me with a good job. He has kept my brain remarkably intact! Jesus healed my back and neck of arthritis which I got as the result of a serious car accident in 1979. It breaks my heart now to know that so many people are hurting (physically and emotionally) and don’t know that Jesus is alive and wants to be part of their lives. The traditional churches have let people down tremendously. Look to your Bible! I can tell you that the things you will read about in the Book of Acts, do still happen today!
