Hello, my name is Cathie Dupuis. As a child I sensed that there was a God, and at times I would look at the stars and talk with Him. Not long after that a friendly neighbor invited me to Sunday school, and I began to hear wonderful Bible stories. Most importantly, though, I heard about Jesus, His miracles, and His love for me. But my parents did not attend church at the time, and my attendance was very sporadic. I would be out of church and into trouble, and then back into church when I felt convicted or my problems spiraled out of control. There I would beg Jesus to show me mercy just one more time and put the pieces of the puzzle back together again for me. It never seemed to last. Like many people, I only used God as a band-aid when things got out of control.
As life continued to pass me by my life and lifestyle became continually worse instead of better. I was bound, addicted, and discontent. I was also fearful because I knew my life was not right. The news and current events of the world would always draw my attention to God. I was full of fear because I knew that I was not right and I feared being lost without my Savior when He returned. But God is merciful, and when He gave me another chance on April 26, 1993, I finally gave Him everything. Following a tearful and sorrowful repentance He filled me with the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue just like the Bible speaks of in Acts 2. Since the moment of conversion when I really gave Him my life nothing has ever been the same!

Gone are the addictions that bound me for years, with no withdrawals. I have personally experienced His healing power in my body. I have had peace that goes beyond all understanding in times of trouble, felt joy that surpasses any worldly drug high, and I walk each day without fear for I know He is always near. The God of love lives within my heart, and I live each day with victory in my soul. I no longer fear the return of our Savior; I joyfully look for it every day! Can you say the same? Salvation is for everyone; God does not want any to be lost. Experience Him for yourself and your soul will be forever grateful!
