Burdened financially? Worried about your marriage and your family? Experiencing health problems? Stressed out on the job? Are you bound by an addiction to alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography, or lust, to escape your problems and the general malaise of the world? Confounded by recent world events of war, disease, famine, and strange weather? Is your spiritual or religious life non-existent? My name is John Faello, and I want to tell you about the genuine answer that I have found. I have always had a spiritual curiosity, but I accepted modern society’s philosophy that everything has a scientific explanation and that religion is at best a temporary fix, and at worst a crutch for the weak-minded. I became the modern man: educated and with a “healthy” mistrust of religion and those that attempted to “escape reality” through faith. As an electrical engineer I sought answers in solid, tangible things like mathematical absolutes and physics. Along the way, however, I found that there were certain things that simply could not be explained by mathematics, science, or psychology. Worse, however, was the fact that I never found fulfillment; I remained both curious and hungry.

Although I was never bound to an addiction, I was bound to worry, stress, fear, uncertainty, and other worldly things. Ten years ago I began my journey to freedom with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A job transfer brought me to Petawawa where my wife and I had the great fortune of renting a house right next door to Emmanuel Lighthouse. In time the pastor

invited me to have a Bible Study, which I accepted without hesitation. My intellectual curiosity turned into a hunger to know God, which was satisfied in 1998 when I was baptized in the name of Jesus. Later I was filled with the Spirit of God just as the first believers were in the book of Acts (Acts 2). Jesus Christ showed me the way to a new and abundant life that has no uncertainty naturally or eternally. I am living my life according to the Bible, resulting in much less worry, stress, and fear. I am no longer bound by anything of this world. Best of all, I am no longer hungry or searching. I have found my answer!

At Emmanuel Lighthouse you will find a friendly welcome, Apostolic worship, and Bible-based preaching and teaching. You will also find an opportunity to build a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. We have two services on Sunday at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm and a service/Bible Study on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
