“There’s got to be more to life than this!” This was my thought one early spring morning over 23 years ago. Hi, my name is Cheryl Woermke, and I would love to have the opportunity to share part of the testimony of what God has done for me with you. It all began back in March of 1984. I was just a young mother of 3 small children, married to a wonderful husband who had supported me through all the dysfunction that I had brought into our marriage. Although life was good and I had a beautiful family, there was still a void deep inside of me, a loneliness that seemingly could not be filled. A lingering discontent – perhaps you’ve felt it? For me it started at the age of 12, the year my parents parted ways and our home changed. I began to react emotionally and physically, including extreme feelings of nervousness, dizziness, sick stomach, sweating, trembling, and fear. This caused me to miss school and along the way I developed a violent temper. This baggage followed me all the way into marriage and my own family. On that fateful day this feeling finally drove me to my knees and caused me to cry out to the One I needed the most. I poured my heart out to Him, confessing my sins and opening my heart wide to Him. As I cried out to God His awesome presence completely enveloped every part of my being. I felt an overwhelming peace that drove away my depression and discontent. In just a few minutes Jesus did for me what I had been unable to do in a lifetime. I found peace and a release from the past in

Him. From that moment on I have found satisfaction and a relief from the gripping vices that kept me bound. You can have the same experience if you will give your heart to Him. I now have been attending Emmanuel Lighthouse for over 23 years. It was here that I was baptized by immersion in the wonderful name of Jesus and filled with His glorious Holy Spirit. It is here that I have learned to walk with Him and find the fulfillment my soul longed for. My prayer for you is that you too will experience the Lord for yourself and find in Jesus Christ the greatest treasure of all. So, my friend, what are you waiting for?

At Emmanuel Lighthouse you will find a friendly welcome, Apostolic worship, and Bible-based preaching and teaching. You will also find an opportunity to build a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. We have two services on Sunday at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm and a service/Bible Study on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
